We are pleased to bring to you this antique copper oven by Frederick & Jackson of Manchester. This oven would have performed a variety of tasks from drying samples to sterilising equipment. We believe it dates from the early twentieth century. The oven is made entirely of copper with an air intake mounted in the door & a small chimney to the top. There is a simple copper latch that would have been used to secure the door firmly whilst in use. Overall the piece is in good condition but has some minor scratches & dents as can be seen in the pictures. This would make an excellent gift for those interested in antique laboratory equipment but also for those seeking an unusual storage solution.
