Maple Dowel Ladder, handmade in Toronto I enjoy working with dowels, its cylindrical form presents a particular challenge of precision. The ladders have become an exercise in accepting & celebrating little imperfection. The wood moves & in the end no two ladders are the same; they are each their own work of art. Hand sanded to a buttery smoothness, they are stained & sealed neutrally to allow the natural beauty of the wood to be fully present. Lastly the feet are plasti dip to prevent scuffing & sliding.
