A wonderful lidded jar from Delft in the Netherlands which is both useful & decorative. The pattern is known as the FOUR SEASONS & each season has been hand-painted on the circumference & lid so no two jars will ever be identical. Featuring the iconic blue & white Delft colours & with the names of the seasons written in Dutch. Not only a gorgeous item but also a language tutorial! The condition is very fine & looks fabulous on display. There is a tiny 1mm chip on the inside of the lid which does not compromise its function or appearance whatsoever. See photo 9.
