The stabilizer will protect the chlorine from the destructive action of UV rays and therefore your chlorine will be able to disinfect your pool properly. The ideal stabilizer level is 20 to 30 mg/L; 50 to 60 mg/L is acceptable. You should not exceed 70 mg or ppm of stabilizer per liter of pool water.
