Wonderful shell shaped compact. This is the Bolero design compact & was made by Kigu of London in the 1950s. It is such a lovely piece of mid century glamour. The compact is a gold metal case with am opulent bejewelled centre . It catches the light beautifully. The compact has a slide button mechanism to open, the mirror is clear. in the base there is a lid engraved with the KIGU logo. This interior lid has opens to allow access to the powder well. The compact is empty but could be refilled with your favourite shade. This would make a wonderful gift for a real vintage lover. This beautiful compact measures approximately 9cm by 7cm by 1cm.
