The Saint Pierre tomato is a traditional French variety with a firm & tasty flesh. Fleshy & juicy, this tomato can weigh up to 300 grams. It is a very refreshing full season variety eaten raw in salads or gazpacho. Round, smooth & slightly flattened, the Saint Pierre tomato is also very vigorous & productive. Sowing: February to May. Harvest: June to September. Sow tomato seeds under cover at a temperature of around 20oC. Prefer a rich, drained & slightly humid soil during your sowing. Place your seeds in the ground at a depth of 1 cm then cover them with a thin layer of soil, when your plants reach 3 to 4 leaves, the tomatoes are ready to be transplanted in the ground if the temperatures allow it (higher than 10 oC). Water your tomato plants regularly to guarantee the flavor of your vegetables once harvested. Harvest your fruits as you need them, as tomatoes can only be kept for 5 days after picking.
