They are & always have been fully handwoven by the most skilled craftsmen in Ecuador. Our Panama Hats are ethically sourced & are considered Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Panama Hat is a delicate piece of craftsmanship handwoven from natural straw & for that reason it should be treated carefully. Proper care will give your Panama Hat many years of life & as a proud Panama Hat owner, we highly recommend you to follow these care instructions to keep your Hat in good shape. Never fold your Panama Hat. It will damage the straw & the shape of your hat. Avoid crushing the straw from the crown of your Hat. Place the Hat on your head by holding the front & the back brim of your hat. Don’t use your hat during rainy days. It will lose its shape. To clean your hat, you can use a damp cloth of facial wipes & rub gently to remove the marks. It is not recommendable to clean your hat with soap or cleaning products.
