It owes its decorative form to raised, stiff, branched flower stalks, which are densely covered with small leaves. Ribbon Blue produces exceptionally beautiful flowers, large, full & resembling peonies. The petals are bluish-purple in color with a white border, & the centers of the flower heads are sunny yellow. The variety offered in our store is an original flowerbed decoration. It is also perfect for a flowerbed, if you are looking for a one-year, dwarf plant that blooms in summer, which will fill the place of fading perennials. Due to its small size (approx. 25 cm high), the presented aster can be grown in containers on balconies & terraces, e.g. in compositions with the related Ribbon Red variety. Chinese dwarf aster (Calistephus chinensis) belongs to the Asteraceae family & is an undemanding annual plant with a long flowering period - it has lush flowers from July to October. Sowing seeds is carried out in spring to the inspection, on a seedbed or directly into the ground. The soil for the cultivation of the presented variety should be fertile, well-drained, with a high content of humus, & non-drying. Let’s choose a sunny position, partial shade will also be appropriate. Asters do not require abundant fertilization to produce long-lasting, beautifully colored flowers.
