On offer is this attractive 1930’s flapper era vanity case which measures 6.5 cm in diameter. The case has attached broad link chain & finger ring which measure 9.5 cm in length. The compact is made of gilt metal with attractive machine turned pattern to the lid with chased floral & foliate decoration to the sides & linear pattern on the base. At the centre of the lid is an applied guilloche enamel plaque. The case has firm hinge & secure hook clasp. It opens to reveal a double sided interior. Immediately under the lid is a circular open rouge well with full contents of make-up & a small silk backed puff. There is a double sided mirror which is clear & reflective & acts as the divider between the two compartments. The second compartment is a large powder well with some remnants of pressed powder. This art deco vanity purse is offered in good condition with no dents or dings to the case & no damage to the enamel plaque.
