The lid on this artfully made, old Hollywood style lidded 5 square powder box was missing its knob. It took me years to find out that it would have had a bead & tassel to lift the lid. It is 3.25 high from the brushed gold feet to the top of the beehive top through which the new silk gold tassel was inserted. Made by Thomas which was part of the Rosenthal company. The flowers & stems are hand painted & suggest bohemia meets japan. A gorgeous gift of love to someone (or yourself) in nice 80 year old condition. in fact I am uncertain if it was ever used due to the mystery of the pull/tassel missing on it.
