Art Deco marcasite carryall/minuadiere, vintage evening bag with integrated powder compacts & purse, combination clutch bag & compact mirror This is a stunning vintage evening clutch bag with integrated powder compacts. It measures approximately 16 x 14 x 3 cm not including the chain handle. It’s finished in a black velvety material with a silver tone frame & clasp & a lovely little marcasite decoration on the front. Photo 10 shows that there’s one missing marcasite. The frame is slightly curved on one side, shown in photo 2. Also, in photo 9, if you look at the top right side it’s slightly flattened where it’s had a bit of a ding. The clasp is good & the bag closes securely. Inside the lid is a bevelled edge mirror which has age but still provides a good reflection. Also inside is a little holder for a lipstick case, the case is no longer present. There’s also a holder for a comb, which is also no longer present. There are two compartments for rouge & powder. The powder compartment still has its original sifter. Finally, there’s a little purse which is held in place with a popper & can be detached & removed from the bag. Just underneath this purse & not shown in the photos is a little tag with a makers name of A. O. & Co & ‘Made in Vienna.’ A fantastic vintage clutch bag in lovely vintage condition.
