Aqua Blue #2 Vintage Venetian Seed Beads with Square Hole - Size 3-4mm Average size: 3mm x 4mm, approx. 8.5 beads per inch. Each tube contains 25 grams of beads. Approximately 280 beads. Each of these stunning beads were manufactured in Venice, Italy by Societa Veneziana Conterie during the 1800’s up until the factory’s closure in the 1920s. As a result, these tiny pieces of history have more variation in their size & shape than the modern seed bead because of their hand crafted nature. Ideal for repairing antique beadwork, or for creating something of your own using beads with special history. These beads are made with colored glass, making their appearance longer lasting that glass beads with a color coating. Sizing of vintage beads does not always translate well into modern-day seed bead sizes. We marked this size by the width of the bead . in our opinion, this bead is closer in size to a modern-day size 6/0 seed bead. Please allow for slight color variations due to screen viewing.
