Original copper & wood printing blocks create images of a lovely woman & her desired perfumes & also medicines. Blocks are in excellent condition; copper metal on wood block. Art work is so very period. The perfume stamp block reveal two perfume bottles & a dresser box, lovely lady in a mirror type image surrounded by flowers & the smiling countenance of a Rx nurse in full cap. The tag line reads EVERYTHING FOR MILADYS TOILET. The second block reads FOR YOUR GOOD HEALTH TAKE OUR MEDICINE while showing a mixing beaker from the pharmacy, the same Rx nurse, & oddly, little fairies from the same block. How wonderful to be able to have the block to reproduce so many of theses classic images with all their intricacy. Such pure art nouveau, so ethereal. Each measures 3 3/4 by 3 3/4 by 5/8. Each has a hanger for the wall. From the estate of the family who ran Jensen’s Pharmacy in Momence, Illinois. The pharmacy has become a museum for the town.
