A Sweet Vintage Kigu 1940S Petit Point Compact, Evening Bag, Loose Powder, Made in England

A gorgeous vintage 1940s Kigu petit point needlepoint loose powder brass metal compact. This pretty compact features a top round panel of needlepoint embroidered pink roses & blue daisies. The frame & base has with engine turned surround & the mirror bezel is stamped Made in England & the Kigu logo. The compact still has residue of loose powder & has its original sifter. The mirror clasp & hinges are in good vintage condition. There are a few minor spots of tarnish here & there & some scuffing to the back commensurate with age & use. Case measures 7.2 cms (3 inches) wide & perfect to slip into a small evening bag. A lovely piece for use or to display on a vintage dressing table.
