It means, that the bead size is approximate, it might be slightly bigger or smaller, every bead may have a slightly different size within the same size group. For example, when we state a size 9mm, the actual bead size could be anywhere between 8.5mm-9.0mm. in some batches the beads may look quite uniformed but in some batches the size difference could be slightly noticeable. A size variation in Czech Glass Beads is not a fault but a distinctive quality of this specific group of beads. Because some of the pressing or faceting process is a handmade process & a final bead appearance will slightly vary from a bead maker to a bead maker even within the same factory.
