1940 Powder Compact Aquarius from Elgin Horoscope Series Enamel The Connoisseur Bagpipe Player Scottish Kelt Jan 20-Feb. 18. For your consideration is this absolutely delightful horoscope Aquarius Aquarian Compact! This comes from the Elgin American made in USA series of compacts featuring horoscopes & is very hard to come by ! This particular compact is in very nice condition with only a minor light surface scratch or two here & there. There is a blemish in the goldtone brass coloration by the pushbutton opener as shown in the picture. The top features the Connoisseur as is enameled in black print letters on the lid. It is for the Aquarius birth between Jan. 20 - Feb. 18, which is also enameled onto the front bottom of the lid for the dates & the top right Aquarius is enameled. The character is a charming male bagpipe player holding a drink & dancing a jig!
