I just had these prints appraised, there are 2 more different ones in my collection. APPRAISER NOTES: Adorable antique chromolithograph print’s this is by Currier & Ives. Dating before the turn of last century, it was removed from an antique book of art lithograph prints - guessing there were tissue protectors as the colors are heavily applied, rich & vibrant. Signed JOHN KARST, NY, who was a well known engraver from 1836 to 1922, most recognized for his illustrations in the McGuffey’s Readers. Condition is very nice with minor edge wear that does not impact the print. I can see a fine vertical scuff in the black area & light usage/handling marks that do not detract. Frames are hand made as well as the glass which makes them very unique with slight imperfections. Frames measure 9.5 by 11.5. Prints measure 8 x 10.
